Walter Moras (1854 or 1856 Berlin - 1925 Berlin)

He was significantly influenced by the marine and landscape painter Hermann Eschke, in whose studio he received his first training.  In 1876, he exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin for the first time.  By 1910, he regularly exhibited at the Great Berlin Art exhibitions.  Moras especially painted in Pomerania and Mecklenburg.  He traveled to Norway, Italy, and the Netherlands.  Active at a time when the plein air painting was blooming, he was somehow influenced by Impressionist models.  In his later works, he painted large-format autumn depictions and nuanced winter landscapes.  Moras' paintings are regularly traded on art auctions.Auctionata Auction House
